Des: Relationship Officer (Equitas Channel )

CTC: 4.5 lpa

The primary objective is to collaborate proactively with Bancassurance channel partner with multi insurance tie up and stakeholders to ensure CHL achieves its business goals in alignment with Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets, focusing on both new customer acquisition and retention as outlined in individual objective-setting sheets. Facilitate higher productivity levels by supporting channel partners in optimizing processes from submission to issuance within agreed timelines. Role holder will be responsible for meeting desired targets in retail business of the distributor partner.

Safeguard the interests of customers and CHL by ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines, as well as the effective use of processes and systems. Cultivate and manage partner expectations to enhance relationship quality, fostering a mutually beneficial model.

  • Drive Business Development by identifying and executing opportunities within Bancassurance channels.
  • Execute and implement effective Sales and Customer Retention Strategies to achieve growth objectives.
  • Foster strong Relationship Management with channel partners to improve collaboration and drive results.
  • Balance Customer Service excellence with sales acquisition initiatives, ensuring seamless customer experience.
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory and internal compliance guidelines to maintain operational integrity.
  • Support the achievement of assigned targets** on a month-on-month basis including persistency targets and hence ensure delivering of measurable results.

Impact on the Business / Function

  • Achieve new business premium as per AOP targets rolled out by Sales Planning and as per defined SFM on M-O-M and YTD basis
  • Achieve given Product Mix target
  • Achieve Customer Retention targets for the portfolio
  • Achieve targets as prescribed for Branch/LBS activation of the bank
  • Ensure timely PFR reporting and NIL PFR pending
  • Ensure Customer Complaints <=1% of book
  • Achieve defined metrics as per Sales Force Management process/guidelines
  • Consistently engage with and follow up on leads provided to support customer relationships effectively

Customers / Stakeholders

  • Provide support toManager at the ground level. Make joint Field calls and motivate them to achieve targets.
  • Conceptualize and implement local business development initiatives for lead generation and focused sales.
  • Provide key input on business health to Branch Heads and agree on tactical initiatives to increase lead generators & their contribution

Major Challenges

  • The major challenge for the jobholder is to constantly develop and grow sales contributors in a highly competitive market.
  • Sustain Insurance business growth & ensure monthly consistency.
  • Maintaining morale of and support in retaining key team members in view of increased competition and career prospects.

Role Context

The role is to deliver sales growth in key markets managed by the job holder. It involves managing all aspects of Sales & Distribution; delivering sales numbers as per AOP; exceeding customer expectations (both for the distributor & end customer) and service standards; implementing business strategies to maximize profitability of CHL

Management & Leadership of Regulatory, Compliance & Operational Risk

Report any operational risk or operational risk loss to the line manager immediately (who is required to timely report to Operational Risk Coordinator) if the jobholder becomes aware of emerging or inadequately controlled operational risk or identify an operational risk loss in accordance with section B.1.2 of the Group Operations FIM.

VII.Observation of Internal Controls

Maintain and observe company's internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.Foster a compliance culture and implement Group Compliance Policy by managing compliance risk in liaison with the Head of Group Compliance, Regional Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources are in place and training is provided, and optimizing relations with regulators.
