Relationship Executive (RE) is a very important role in any travel company. This person is the person who ensures that a client’s trip goes well, keep proper records of payments and does follow ups, co-ordination and more on behalf of the company, with vendors, clients and other departments.
This is a role that requires 100% commitment and engagement.
While we have an 8 hour working day, the timings for this person would depend on various trips happening at one point of time and hence they will have to available based on trip/customer requirements.
The RE may also get the opportunity to lead group trips by the company.
Responsibilities:
1. Synthesise diverse information, understand itineraries, trip plans and prepare schedule of activities
2. Regular updating of schedules and activity chart
3. Follow up with hotels/cab agencies etc. to ensure timely deliveries (reconfirming hotel bookings, pick up timings etc.)
4. Friendly follow up with guests for payments
5. Update the guests regarding the trip activities and plans, and changes, if any
6. Coordinate with hotels/vendors for B2B rates (negotiate), bookings
7. Maintain/update records of payments (guests, vendors, external)
8. Follow up with vendors for invoices, refunds and reconciling the records
9. Maintain the database of vendors / rates etc.
10. Call up potential clients
