Registrar

Mahatma Gandhi University Meghalaya seeking a Registrar the University Registrar is responsible for overseeing student admissions, registrations, examination processes, and maintenance of academic records. The role ensures compliance with regulatory bodies like UGC and coordinates academic governance activities. The Registrar manages official documentation, supports policy implementation, and facilitates smooth academic and administrative operations across the university.

Job Description:-

• Manage student admissions, registrations, examinations, and academic records.
• Coordinate meetings of statutory bodies like the Academic Council and Syndicate.
• Ensure compliance with UGC, AICTE, and other regulatory guidelines.
• Supervise issuance of degrees, certificates, and transcripts.
• Maintain official university documentation and governance records.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and accreditation agencies.
• Lead administrative teams and ensure efficient academic administration.

Eligibility Criteria

• Master’s degree with at least 55% marks from a recognized university.
• Minimum 15 years of administrative experience in a university, college, or higher education institution, with at least 8 years in a senior administrative position.
• Knowledge of university regulations, UGC norms, and accreditation standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in office administration, academic governance, and record management.
