Regional Sales Manager Engineering Services (Chennai)

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets (Automotive, Aerospace, Energy, etc.).
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders.
Drive end-to-end customer engagement from prospecting to contract closure.
Cold calling and front end sales.
Collaborate with marketing and pre-sales teams to create customized proposals and value propositions.
Stay updated on engineering capabilities, delivery models, and competitive landscape.
Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to senior management.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Engineering; MBA preferred
13+ years of experience in sales/business development within Engineering Services
, including
10+ years in leadership roles
Expertise in CAD, CAE, thermal, electrical, and embedded systems
Proven ability to win large, multi-year contracts
Strong understanding of global delivery models, product engineering, digital engineering, and Industry 4.0 trends
Experience managing international markets (North America, Europe, APAC preferred)
Excellent leadership and people management skills
