Regional Credit Manager-Emerging Business-Credit Appraisal-Chennai-Centennial Square-MM

You will be responsible for managing all activities related to the sanction life cycle of borrower accounts. This includes supporting and collaborating with business teams to oversee end-to-end credit approval processes in the designated region. You will underwrite for all customer segments for corporate finance products and present findings to senior management. Additionally, you will be required to authorize deviations raised by underwriters in compliance with credit policy. Your role will involve finalizing the review of credit memos prepared by underwriters, providing approval or decline sign-offs on each file, and ensuring documentation requests are addressed. You will approve disbursement requests based on adherence to requirements and complete documentation at the branch level. It will be crucial to oversee and follow up with external vendors to ensure timely query resolution and eliminate delays not related to the process. Furthermore, you will coordinate with the recoveries team to extract business insights and lead a team of credit approvers to maintain portfolio quality and manage delinquencies. You will actively participate in the development, implementation, review, and monitoring of credit programs while providing training and coaching to enhance team competency and processing efficiency. Traveling extensively to supervise branches within your territory will be part of your responsibilities to foster business development, guide the team, and ensure a high-quality portfolio in the assigned region. Compliance with all audit, regulatory regulations, processes, policies, and reports as per company standards is essential. Qualifications required for this role include an MBA/PGDBA/PGPM/CA or an Equivalent degree.,
