Job Description

Job Objective:

To lead and manage the Neurology and Psychiatry business operations in the assigned region by achieving sales targets, expanding market presence, and developing a high-performing sales team. The Regional Business Manager will ensure effective implementation of company strategies and strengthen relationships with key healthcare professionals to drive sustainable business growth.

Role & responsibilities:

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and growth targets for the assigned region.
  • Implement regional sales strategies in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Identify business opportunities and potential markets for Neurology and Psychiatry products.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market dynamics to formulate effective counter-strategies.

2. Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train, and mentor Area Business Managers (ABMs) and Medical Representatives (MRs).
  • Conduct regular field visits and joint working to support and guide the team.
  • Drive performance through motivation, monitoring, and skill development.
  • Ensure high standards of field discipline, productivity, and compliance.

3. Doctor & Institution Engagement

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (Neurologists, Psychiatrists, and related specialists).
  • Support and guide the team in conducting CMEs, scientific meetings, and brand promotion programs.
  • Ensure consistent prescription generation and brand recall among target doctors.

4. Marketing & Coordination

  • Execute marketing campaigns and brand strategies designed by the Head Office.
  • Provide timely feedback to marketing teams on market response and product performance.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical marketing practices and promotional guidelines.

5. Administration & Reporting

  • Submit timely sales reports, expense statements, and market intelligence updates.
  • Manage regional budgets efficiently and ensure operational cost control.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and statutory requirements.

  • Achievement of sales and growth targets.
  • Improvement in market share and brand performance.
  • Doctor coverage and prescription growth.
  • Team performance and retention.
  • Adherence to reporting and compliance standards.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Education:

    B.Pharm / B.Sc. (MBA in Marketing preferred).
  • Experience:

    Minimum

    8-12 years

    in pharmaceutical sales with at least

    35 years

    in a first-line or second-line managerial role.
  • Specialization:

    Prior experience in the

    Neurology and Psychiatry segment

    is essential.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
