Job Description

Job Objective:

To lead and manage the Ortho, Gyne, GP, CP business operations in the assigned region by achieving sales targets, expanding market presence, and developing a high-performing sales team. The Regional Business Manager will ensure effective implementation of company strategies and strengthen relationships with key healthcare professionals to drive sustainable business growth.

Role & responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for all therapeutic segments (Ortho, Gyne, GP, CP).
  • Develop and execute regional sales plans in alignment with company objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities, potential markets, and key customers.
  • Ensure consistent growth in prescription generation and secondary sales.

2. Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of

    Area Business Managers (ABMs)

    and

    Medical Representatives (MRs)

    .
  • Monitor performance through fieldwork, coaching, and regular review meetings.
  • Set clear performance goals and ensure accountability for results.
  • Conduct training and skill development sessions for the field team to enhance product knowledge and selling skills.

3. Doctor & Market Engagement

  • Strengthen relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in Ortho, Gyne, GP, and CP segments.
  • Support the field team in organizing doctor meets, CMEs, and product promotion activities.
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing, and promotional trends.

4. Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Implement marketing and brand strategies as directed by the Product Management Team (PMT).
  • Coordinate regional product launches and ensure brand visibility.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of promotional inputs and provide feedback for improvement.

5. Distribution & Operations

  • Ensure smooth coordination with stockists, distributors, and C&F agents for product availability.
  • Monitor primary and secondary sales and ensure optimum inventory levels.
  • Handle credit control and ensure timely collection of payments.

6. Reporting & Analysis

  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and team performance to identify improvement areas.
  • Prepare and submit monthly business reports, forecasts, and territory performance reviews.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors Degree in Science / Pharmacy; MBA in Marketing preferred.
  • 8-12 years of pharmaceutical sales experience

    , with at least

    24 years in a regional or area managerial role

    .
  • Proven experience in managing

    Ortho, Gyne, GP, and CP product lines

    .
  • Strong knowledge of regional markets and doctor network.
