Job Summary:

The Reel to Sheet Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and monitoring the reel-to-sheet cutting machine used to convert paper or board rolls into sheets of required sizes for printing and packaging operations. The operator ensures accuracy, machine efficiency, and product quality while maintaining safety and minimizing material wastage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation & Setup
• Set up and operate reel-to-sheet cutting machines according to job specifications.
• Load paper reels and adjust tension, speed, and cutting size as per job orders.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to maintain quality output.
• Quality Control
• Inspect sheets for size accuracy, squareness, and surface defects.
• Ensure the cut sheets meet company quality standards and customer requirements.
• Maintain consistent sheet size and minimize wastage.
• Maintenance & Housekeeping
• Perform routine checks, cleaning, and minor maintenance on the machine.
• Report any mechanical issues or breakdowns to the maintenance department.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Production Reporting
• Record daily production data — reel usage, sheet output, wastage, and downtime.
• Coordinate with supervisors for scheduling and job priorities.
• Safety Compliance
• Follow all company safety protocols and ensure safe handling of heavy reels.
• Wear PPE and maintain safety standards around moving machinery.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Minimum 10th Pass / ITI (Printing or Mechanical preferred)
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience operating reel-to-sheet or similar converting machines in a print or packaging unit
• Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of reel-to-sheet cutting machines (e.g., Pasaban, Perfecta, Polar, or equivalent)
• Basic mechanical understanding and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read job tickets and measure sheet dimensions accurately
• Soft Skills:

• Teamwork and communication
• Time management

Work Conditions:

• Factory floor environment
• Shift work may be required (day/night)
• Physically demanding — handling heavy reels and standing for long periods

• Sheet cutting accuracy and consistency
• Production efficiency (output per hour)
• Material wastage percentage
• Machine downtime and maintenance reporting

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
