Job Title: Punching & Die Cutting Operator Department: Production / Printing & Packaging Reports To: Production Supervisor / Plant Manager Job Summary The Punching & Die Cutting Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining punching and die-cutting machines used in the production of printed and packaging materials. The operator ensures that materials are cut to precise specifications, maintains production efficiency, and upholds quality and safety standards. Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation Set up and operate die-cutting and punching machines (such as Bobst, Heidelberg, or similar brands). Adjust machine settings according to job specifications (cutting pressure, registration, sheet size, etc.). Load and unload materials efficiently to meet production targets. Monitor operations to detect and correct malfunctions or deviations in process. Quality Control Inspect finished products to ensure accurate cutting, creasing, perforation, and shape alignment . Verify samples against customer-approved standards and ensure defect-free output. Maintain accurate records of quality checks and production counts. Maintenance Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines. Report major mechanical issues to maintenance or engineering teams immediately. The role involves loading, unloading, stacking, and moving materials safely and efficiently to support smooth production and dispatch operations. Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Handling Load and unload raw materials, printed sheets, cartons, and packaging materials from delivery vehicles or production lines. Transport materials to the designated storage or work areas. Ensure correct identification and handling of materials as per production requirements. Production Support Supply raw materials, sheets, or packaging boards to machine operators (printing, punching, die-cutting, pasting, etc.). Remove finished goods from machines and transfer them to inspection or packing areas. Assist operators during machine setup and material changeovers. Storage and Stacking Properly stack and store materials to avoid damage and ensure space efficiency. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the storage and loading areas. Dispatch and Delivery Assist in loading finished goods into trucks for dispatch according to delivery schedules. Verify quantity and packaging before loading to ensure accuracy.
