Job Description

Primary Roles of a Recruiter Specialist

  1. Talent Sourcing

    • Use job boards, social media, databases (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed), and employee referrals to source potential candidates.
    • Build and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
  2. Job Posting and Advertising

    • Draft and post job descriptions across relevant channels.
    • Ensure job advertisements are optimized for visibility and engagement.
  3. Screening and Shortlisting

    • Review resumes and applications.
    • Conduct initial screenings to assess candidate fit (skills, experience, culture).
    • Coordinate with hiring managers to refine candidate requirements.
  4. Interview Coordination

    • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and interview panels.
    • Prepare interviewers with relevant information about candidates.
  5. Candidate Relationship Management

    • Keep candidates informed throughout the hiring process.
    • Provide a positive candidate experience.
    • Maintain relationships with past applicants for future opportunities.
  6. Collaboration with Hiring Managers

    • Work closely with department heads to understand staffing needs.
    • Advise on market trends, salary benchmarks, and talent availability.
  7. Data Management and Reporting

    • Maintain accurate and updated candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
    • Generate reports on recruiting metrics like time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and source of hire.
  8. Compliance and Best Practices

    • Ensure recruitment practices comply with labor laws and internal policies (e.g., equal opportunity employment).
    • Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and techniques.
  9. Offer Management

    • Prepare and extend job offers.
    • Negotiate terms (salary, benefits, start date) in coordination with HR and hiring managers.
  10. Onboarding Support

  • Coordinate with HR for a smooth handover and onboarding process.
  • Gather feedback from new hires to improve future recruiting efforts.
