Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) was set up in 1988 by the Birla Academy of Art and Culture, with support from the Birla Group of companies. The role comes with the following Responsibilities

A.Reception Duties:

  • Greet & welcome visitors, guests, and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Maintain a neat and organized reception area.
  • Manage visitor entry, issue visitor passes, and maintain visitor logs.

B.Telephone Operations:

  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls promptly and politely.
  • Take accurate messages and ensure they are communicated to the concerned person.
  • Manage intercom calls and internal telephone directory.
  • Provide information about the organization as required.

C.Administrative Support:

  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence (emails, courier, postal mail).
  • Maintain records of office supplies and place orders when necessary.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments and maintaining diaries.
  • Support general office administration tasks as required.

D.Coordination and Communication:

  • Act as a point of communication between departments.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, security, and other support services.
  • Ensure timely communication of messages to relevant employees.

E.Miscellaneous Tasks:

  • Ensure adherence to company policies regarding visitor management and confidentiality.
  • Manage emergency calls and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the management.

Essential Eligibility Conditions

  • Graduation in any Discipline, additional certification in telecommunications or customer service are a plus.
  • Prior experience of At least 1-2 years as a receptionist cum telephone operator.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Basic understanding of telephone exchange systems and tele-communication equipment.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
