Job Description

Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a warm and courteous manner Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and redirect calls appropriately Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments Register new patients and update existing patient records Manage check-in and check-out processes Collect payments, issue receipts, and manage billing transactions Maintain the reception area and ensure it is tidy and presentable Coordinate with healthcare professionals and support staff as needed Handle administrative duties such as data entry, filing, photocopying, and faxing Follow up with patients for appointment reminders and feedback Adhere to patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations (or local privacy laws) Qualifications & Skills:High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or administrative training is a plus Proven experience as a receptionist, preferably in a healthcare setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, EMR/EHR systems) Familiarity with medical terminology is an advantage Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
