Job Description

The Blood Centre Receptionist is the first point of contact for donors, patients, and visitors. This role ensures smooth front-desk operations, accurate documentation, and professional customer service while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with blood centre protocols. Key Responsibilities: Greet and assist donors, visitors, and patients in a polite and professional manner. Manage front-desk activities including attendance register, donor entry, and visitor logs. Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries; provide accurate information or redirect to the concerned department. Register donors in the system and verify required identification documents. Coordinate donor appointments, walk-ins, and follow-ups. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area. Assist in preparing donor forms, consent forms, and daily reports. Support administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry. Maintain confidentiality of donor information and follow all centre protocols. Work closely with medical and administrative teams to ensure smooth donor flow. Assist in handling emergency donor needs or guiding them to the appropriate staff. Skills & Qualifications:Minimum Higher Secondary/Graduate qualification. Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and local language. Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, email handling, data entry). Pleasant personality, customer-service oriented. Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure. Previous experience in healthcare or front-office roles preferred but not mandatory.
