Job Description

The Hospital Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and vendors entering the facility. This role is responsible for warmly greeting patients, efficiently managing front-desk activities, coordinating appointments, handling incoming calls, and supporting the administrative functions of the hospital. Greet and direct patients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner. Manage the check-in/check-out process for patients. Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments. Answer and route incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally. Maintain the reception area in a clean and orderly manner. Verify patient information and update records accurately in the hospital management system. Handle patient inquiries and complaints with empathy and escalate when necessary. Coordinate with medical and administrative staff for smooth patient flow. Receive and sort incoming mail, deliveries, and courier packages. Collect co-pays and process billing transactions as required. Ensure confidentiality and security of patient information in compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies.
