RDA&RR Independent Validation, Associate

The role of RDA&RR Independent Validation, Associate in Mumbai, India involves ensuring adherence to the compliance framework set by the Basel Committee for Banking Supervision (BCBS) and achieving compliance to the principles in BCBS 239. This position is within the NFRM team, which collaborates with the Divisional Risk and Finance teams to operationalize the compliance framework. The main responsibility of the RDA&RR Independent Validation Lead is to review and provide independent validation over the measurement and monitoring activities in the Risk and Finance divisions, specifically focusing on Key Risk Metrics and Key Risk Reports. Key responsibilities of the role include assisting the RDARR team in delivering the Independent Validation function mandate, overseeing compliance framework adherence by Risk and Finance divisions, executing quality assurance reviews on RDARR metrics and reports, collaborating with various teams to ensure consistent implementation of RDARR principles, tracking and supporting remediation efforts for identified gaps, supporting the annual self-assessment process, identifying opportunities to enhance governance, policy, and framework, and engaging with stakeholders to socialize QA findings and support continuous improvement. The ideal candidate should have a university degree or relevant professional experience, a strong understanding of risk and finance data environments, familiarity with BCBS 239/RDARR principles and data quality concepts, knowledge of regulatory requirements in financial services, experience in Quality Assurance and/or Audit Assurance, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work collaboratively across global teams, proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools, and the capability to think innovatively and provide creative solutions.
