Position: Manager - R&D/Technology Innovation

About Client:

We are looking for an experienced Manager - R&D/Technology Innovation with a strong background in sustainable product development, cleaner technology research, and lifecycle innovation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading R&D programs, advancing technology-based sustainability solutions, and integrating life cycle thinking into product and process innovation.

This role involves driving cross-functional research, fostering partnerships for technology development, and supporting the organizations goals for low-carbon, circular, and resource-efficient growth. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, strategic foresight, and innovation management skills to translate new concepts into impactful and scalable outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead research and development initiatives for sustainable products, integrating eco-design, circular economy principles, and cleaner technologies.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement innovative technologies that improve environmental performance and sustainability across product lifecycles.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies for R&D activities aligned with organizational goals.
• Conduct technical feasibility studies, lifecycle assessments, and sustainability impact analyses to support new product development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, procurement, and marketing to ensure sustainability integration.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with academic institutions, research organizations, and technology providers for knowledge exchange and joint innovation.
• Provide technical handholding, mentoring, and training to teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project adoption and scaling.
• Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends related to sustainable technologies and incorporate compliance requirements into R&D processes.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders including clients and regulatory bodies.
• Facilitate pilot projects and field testing of new technologies and sustainable products.
• Lead efforts in establishing demonstration units, proof of concepts, and commercialization support as needed.
• Contribute to sustainability certifications, standards development, and adherence to best practices in environmental management.
• Mentor the team members and coordinate collaborative research programs with external partners such as research institutes.
• Drive innovation through cutting-edge research.
• Provide expert insights and consultancy internally and externally on complex sustainability challenges and solutions
  

Qualification and Experience:

Ph.D. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Nanotechnology, Biomaterials etc.) or Science, or in Relevant Field with 3+ Years of Experience.
