Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and creative
R&D Executive - Cosmetics
to join our Research & Development team The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing innovative cosmetic formulations that align with global trends, regulatory standards, and client expectations This role requires both technical knowledge and a passion for creating exceptional personal care products Key Responsibilities:
- Research, develop, and formulate new cosmetic products including creams, lotions, serums, face masks, cleansers, and more
- Conduct stability and compatibility testing to ensure product quality and safety
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and marketing
- Analyze raw materials for suitability and compatibility in formulation
- Maintain detailed documentation of formulations, test results, and product revisions
- Stay updated with the latest trends, ingredients, and regulations in the cosmetic industry
- Assist in scaling formulations from lab to production scale
- Ensure compliance with BIS, FDA, and international cosmetic regulatory standards
Qualifications:
Education / Certifications:
- B
Sc / M Sc in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, or related field - Additional certifications in cosmetic formulation or dermatological sciences are a plus
Hard Skills:
- Knowledge of cosmetic ingredients and formulation techniques
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and processes
- Understanding of GMP, ISO, and regulatory guidelines for cosmetic products
- Experience with formulation software is advantageous
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
- Creative mindset with a passion for innovation
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines
Preferred Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in cosmetic or personal care product formulation
- Experience working in a private label or contract manufacturing setup is preferred
- Exposure to international cosmetic standards (eg EU, US FDA) is beneficial
