This position reports to R&D Team Lead Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB’s success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team. The work model for the role is: This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation business Robotics division in Bangalore, India. You will be mainly accountable for: Coding in C++ (2017 or higher) and unit testing it within agreed schedule and quality Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems Defect fixing & maintenance Documentation inputs Work with rest of the teams in SAFe agile teams and make releases Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization. Qualifications for the role Bachelor’s / master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent Should have 2-5 years of experience, developing applications using C++ in Windows environment Thorough knowledge of the standard library, STL containers, and algorithms Familiarity with embedded systems and low-level hardware interactions Experience with Azure Devops, Github, Unit testing skills [GTest] Experience in RESTful API development and Experience with debugging especially performance issues. Developing OPC UA protocols and porting open source. Documenting designs, Architectural awareness.
