Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Prepare and post monthly journal entries accurately
Perform month-end close (MEC) activities within defined timelines
Handle account reconciliations including GL, Bank & Intercompany accounts
Manage fixed assets accounting (additions, retirements, depreciation)
Maintain master data (GL, Fixed Assets, Cost Centers, etc.)
Process periodic and ad-hoc financial reports as per business requirements
Handle customer/stakeholder queries and provide timely resolutions
Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and prevent errors
Ensure adherence to SOPs, internal controls, and compliance requirements
Track and maintain MEC / Activity checklists and documentation
Support audit requirements by providing relevant schedules and data

Preferred candidate profile

2 - 4 years of experience in R2R / General Accounting
Strong in GL, Journal Entries, MEC & Reconciliations
Experience in Bank, Intercompany & Fixed Assets accounting
Hands-on with ERP (SAP/Oracle) and MS Excel
Knowledge of SOPs, controls & compliance
Good communication, analytical skills & attention to detail
