R & D- Tablets Section incharge

Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala Pvt. Ltd is hiring R & D- Tablets Section incharge Manufacturing for our Thaikkattusert Production Unit.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Ayurvedic pharmaceutics as well as modern pharmaceutical technology, and be able to translate traditional formulations into scientifically validated, stable, and scalable dosage forms.

• Qualification : M.Pharm / B.Pharm (Pharmaceutics/Industrial Pharmacy) or M.Sc./B.Sc(Pharmaceutical/Herbal Sciences).
• Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in tablet dosage form development (preferably in herbal/Ayurvedic industry).
• Good documentation skills and knowledge of GMP/AYUSH/WHO regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and optimize Ayurvedic tablet formulations.

2. Conduct pre-formulation and formulation trials to ensure stability, uniformity, and efficacy.

3. Standardize excipients for herbal actives.

4. Collaborate with Production and QA teams for technology transfer and scale-up.

5. Support regulatory submissions with scientific and technical data.

6. Coordinate with R&D departments for trial batches and related activities.

7. Execute production programs for the tablet section as per plans from the Planning Department using optimum resources.

8. Prepare, monitor, and update weekly and daily production plans.

9. Maintain production trackers and share with Production Manager/Unit Head for review.

10. Prepare Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and manage batch scheduling in ERP.

11. Ensure planned quantities are produced as per Master Formula Record (MFR).

12. Submit weekly filling plans according to market requirements.

13. Allocate and supervise work for employees across grinding (R&D, TKY unit), Old Kitchen, mixing, milling, drying, sifting, punching, blistering, and packing.

14. Ensure discipline, attendance, and development of workers in the tablet section.

15. Encourage operators to maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of machinery.

16. Supervise steam process area during weekend night shifts.

17. Perform in-process quality control and generate technical documentation.

18. Continuously monitor tablet preparation and packing operations; review daily machine logbooks to identify deviations.

19. Initiate corrective actions based on QA/QC inputs and reported incidents.

20. Address queries from Internal Audit related to production.

21. Order and receive gold/silver from Purchase Department; monitor grating, grinding, weighing, and distribution in presence of QA.

22. Coordinate with Raw Material Stores for timely receipt of raw and packing materials.

23. Maintain minimum stock of blistering materials (PVC/Aluminium foil) and initiate reordering.

24. Coordinate with Purchase Department for procurement of juicer raw materials.

25. Liaise with Maintenance Department to attend breakdowns, reduce downtime, and ensure preventive maintenance as scheduled.

26. Participate in weekly production review meetings, monthly review meetings, and other interdepartmental discussions.

27. Collaborate with QA, R&D, Production, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
