Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Quantity Surveyor specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services, located in Trivandrum. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and budgets for MEP works. They will evaluate and manage project costs, perform value engineering, analyze rates, validate contractor claims, and prepare bills of quantities. The role also involves collaborating with project teams to ensure cost-effective and accurate project delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Quantity Surveying, Cost Estimation, and preparing accurate project budgets
• Proficiency in MEP-specific practices, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Strong skills in Quantity Take-off, Preparation of Bills of Quantities, and Rate Analysis
• Ability to analyze and validate contractor claims, manage subcontractor agreements, and ensure budget alignment
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
• Proficiency in using construction/project management software and tools such as AutoCAD or related tools
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, MEP, or a related field
• Previous experience in the construction and engineering industry, particularly in handling MEP projects, is advantageous
