A Quantity Surveyor should manage all costs related to building and civil engineering projects, from initial calculations to final figures. They aim to minimize costs and risks while enhancing value for money, ensuring that required legal standards and quality are met. Key Responsibilities Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts. Analyze terms and conditions in contracts. Prepare tender documents, contracts, and other documentation. Monitor project costs and adjust budgets as necessary. Handle valuation of completed work and oversee payments. Supervise and manage the site team. Ensure accurate and timely invoicing of clients. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments. Resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries promptly. Develop and implement billing policies and procedures. Collaborate with other departments to streamline billing processes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage and lead a team. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field Understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with cost estimation software and project management tools.
