Job Description: Civil Quantity Surveyor (MEP Focus)

​We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Civil Quantity Surveyor with specialized expertise in the estimation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) and Fire Fighting services. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in project cost management, ensuring accurate estimations and resource planning for our building projects.

​Key Responsibilities:

• ​Quantity Estimation (MEP & Fire Fighting):
• ​Perform accurate and comprehensive quantity surveying and estimation for all Electrical, Plumbing (PHE), Mechanical (HVAC/Others), and Fire Fighting works.
• ​Ensure estimations align strictly with drawings, specifications, and prevailing industry standards.
• ​Rate Analysis & BOQ Preparation:
• ​Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and rate analyses by applying relevant schedule rates, including but not limited to HSR (Highway Schedule of Rates), DSR (Delhi Schedule of Rates), and BSR (Building Schedule of Rates), or other applicable state/central schedule rates.
• ​Analyze and compare vendor/subcontractor quotations against estimated costs.
• ​Bar Bending Schedules (BBS):
• ​Prepare precise and detailed Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for all reinforced concrete elements, optimizing material usage and minimizing wastage on site.
• ​Documentation & Reporting:
• ​Maintain detailed records of all measurements, calculations, and cost data.
• ​Assist in the preparation of project budgets, tender documents, and contract negotiations.
• ​Prepare valuation of variations, claims, and final accounts.

​Required Qualifications & Skills:

• ​Education: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• ​Experience: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong emphasis on estimating MEP and Fire Fighting services in building construction projects.
• ​Technical Knowledge:
• ​In-depth knowledge of various measurement standards and construction practices.
• ​Expertise in interpreting architectural and MEP drawings and specifications.
• ​Proficiency in applying standard schedule of rates (HSR, DSR, BSR, etc.).
• ​Strong proficiency in preparing detailed Bar Bending Schedules (BBS).
• ​Software Proficiency: Competency in estimation software, AutoCAD/Revit (for measurement take-offs), and Microsoft Excel.
• ​Personal Attributes: Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
