Quantity Surveyor

As a Quantity Surveyor, your role will involve managing costs for construction projects from initiation to completion. You will be responsible for tasks such as cost estimation, budget management, contract administration, and financial reporting to ensure that projects are executed within budget constraints and comply with quality and legal standards. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare cost estimates, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and tender documents for projects. - Analyze and evaluate contractual claims, variations, and project risks. - Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and implement cost control measures. - Conduct site visits and assessments to ensure project compliance. - Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to oversee project finances. - Evaluate and negotiate contractor and supplier costs. - Generate financial reports and conduct cost analysis for management assessment. - Ensure adherence to construction laws, contracts, and industry regulations. - Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and project timelines. Qualifications and Requirements: - Education: Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. - Experience: 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, or contract management. Technical Skills: - Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, CostX, or other quantity surveying software. - Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and contracts (FIDIC, JCT, NEC, etc.). - Ability to analyze and interpret financial and technical documents. Soft Skills: - Strong negotiation and analytical skills. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. - Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
