Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Management System (QMS)

Develop, implement, and maintain QMS in line with
NABL 15189 / ISO 9001
standards.
Review and update
SOPs, Quality Manuals, and Work Instructions
regularly.
Conduct
internal quality audits
, identify gaps, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Ensure proper
document control
and record maintenance across all departments.

2. Regulatory & Accreditation Compliance

Lead preparations and coordinate with
NABL/CAP auditors
during assessments and surveillance visits.
Ensure timely renewal of certifications and adherence to
statutory & regulatory norms
.
Stay updated on emerging compliance guidelines in diagnostics.

3. Laboratory Quality Control

Monitor
Internal Quality Control (IQC)
and
External Quality Assessment (EQA/PT)
performance across all parameters.
Analyze trends, identify non-conformities, and take corrective actions.
Ensure calibration and validation of instruments and reagents as per defined schedules.

4. Training & Competency

Conduct
quality training programs
for technical staff and new joiners.
Assess competency of lab personnel periodically.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness across the team.

5. Vendor & Equipment Quality

Evaluate and approve suppliers of reagents, consumables, and equipment.
Oversee
instrument qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ)
and preventive maintenance programs.
Work closely with procurement and service teams to ensure quality consistency.

6. Quality Improvement Initiatives

Drive
Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
and implement
Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA)
.
Monitor key quality indicators (KQIs) such as TAT adherence, sample rejection rate, and repeat testing trends.
Lead quality improvement projects to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
