Job Description

As a Quality Control Manager in the garment industry, your role involves developing and implementing quality control systems to ensure products meet company and customer expectations. You will establish quality benchmarks, lead the quality assurance team, conduct inspections and audits, and analyze defects to implement corrective actions. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with customer specifications, maintain documentation, manage supplier quality, provide training, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and Implement Quality Control Systems: - Establish, maintain, and continuously improve quality control systems and procedures. - Develop quality benchmarks and performance standards for each production stage. - Manage Quality Assurance Team: - Lead, train, and supervise the quality assurance team. - Set clear expectations, monitor performance, and provide feedback. - Conduct Inspections and Audits: - Oversee product inspections and audits to identify quality issues. - Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with quality standards. - Problem-Solving and Corrective Actions: - Analyze defects to identify root causes and implement corrective measures. - Collaborate with production and design teams to resolve quality issues. - Customer Specifications and Compliance: - Ensure products adhere to customer specifications and industry standards. - Maintain knowledge of relevant regulations and certifications for compliance. - Documentation and Reporting: - Maintain detailed records of quality checks and non-compliance issues. - Prepare reports on quality trends and improvement plans. - Supplier Quality Management: - Work with suppliers to ensure quality of incoming materials. - Conduct evaluations of suppliers and provide feedback for improvements. - Training and Development: - Organize training sessions to increase awareness of quality standards. - Stay updated on industry trends and best practices. - Continuous Improvement Initiatives: - Identify opportunities to enhance product quality and reduce defects. - Implement lean manufacturing practices for continuous improvement. - Collaboration and Communication: - Liaise with clients on quality matters and manage audits. - Ensure clear communication between departments on quality expectations. Essential Skills: - Leadership and Team Management - Attention to Detail - Problem-Solving - Technical Knowledge - Project Management Qualifications and Experience: - Experience: Minimum 5-7 years in quality control, 2 years in managerial role in garment industry. - Certifications: Certification in quality management is a plus.
