Roles & Responsibilities:

Work with Controls Quality Leader as Quality Lead Engineer for Controls Engineering organization supporting multiple Gas Power business lines in support of the four Quality Workstreams: Zero Defect Culture, New Product Introduction, Supply Base Quality, and Management of Change. Engineering plays strongly in all four of these workstreams and across the entire lifecycle of our products.

Support response to front-line customers who feel the pain when we deliver poor quality.

Drive improvement upstream into our processes across all of Engineering.

Improve our engineering quality execution but also the broader Gas Power Quality workstreams.

Drive Quality Excellence into Engineering.

Support day-to-day Quality Operations for an organization of 1000+ engineers located worldwide.

Coordinate all quality issue resolution with Controls Engineering Quality Leader.

Coordinate necessary QMS auditing activities across Controls Engineering to support ISO accreditation, including desk-side audits, quality framework audits, and LRQA.

Run quality management reviews with Controls leadership.

Support Controls quality MOR (Monthly Operating Review).

Partner with broader Corporate, Gas Power, Gas Power Engineering, and Controls quality community to drive a culture of zero-defect culture among the Controls Engineering organization.

Broaden the application of problem-solving (root cause analysis) and continuous improvement tools in a way that will improve quality, efficiency, capacity, and process reliability.

Drive the necessary continuous improvement processes including Non-Conformance Report (NCR), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Problem Solving Reports (PSR).

Maintain and improve daily management of quality through dashboards and queries.

Enable, support and empower the Controls Engineering resources to identify opportunities and locally act upon to drive quality improvements.

Celebrate and share Controls Engineering quality lessons learned and recognize success.
