Quality Lead

The role at BIBA Apparels Private Limited involves being responsible for creating and developing quality focused on ethnic wear, supporting the creation of the brand story and entire collection/range. You will be managing teams of quality assurance and control to ensure the quality of products within cost parameters, meeting all types of compliances, maintaining proper records, and MIS. Your role will involve leading all sourcing strategies from a quality perspective, implementing quality standards and parameters, analyzing quality reports, and taking preventive and corrective actions. You will also lead and coach the quality function, develop samples from first fit to shipment, troubleshoot for efficient sample management, support design during design brief meetings, and ensure comprehensive quality control. Your people management responsibilities will include maintaining relationships with the QC team and factory, partnering with merchandising teams on fabric research and development, setting departmental goals, coaching teams to meet goals, monitoring employee performance, and providing feedback. Essential behavioral competencies for this role include problem-solving skills, people management and development, and innovation. Desirable competencies include communication, customer focus, and attention to detail. Key technical competencies required include knowledge of sewing machinery and equipment, sewing techniques, product process control, and production planning. To be considered for this role, you should be a graduate with extensive knowledge of the apparel process, have over 15 years of experience in retail, and have worked in Delhi/NCR for the last 5 years. You should have proven capability in premium level quality control for the retail sector, strong retail business acumen, and the ability to train and develop high-performing teams. Key performance indicators for this role include measuring samples audits and results, defects and audit pass/fail rates, failed lab tests, fabric audits, DC audits, RTS, accurate samples delivered on time for meetings, on-time production, elimination of quality rejections, and reduction in QC expenses. You should be able to build collaborative relationships with HOD and vendors and find solutions effectively using available resources.,
