Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection & Testing

Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products according to defined quality parameters and specifications.
Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Conduct sampling and testing as per quality plans and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Documentation & Reporting

Document inspection results accurately and prepare inspection reports.
Identify and report defects, deviations, or non-conformance issues to QA/QC team.
Maintain inspection records and ensure traceability of materials.

Process Monitoring & Improvement

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues.
Suggest corrective actions and preventive measures for continuous quality improvement.
Participate in internal and external audits as required.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or related field preferred
Certification in Quality Inspection or relevant training is an advantage

Experience:

15 years experience in quality inspection or quality control
Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, ASTM, IS codes, or client-specific quality requirements

Key Skills:

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to use inspection tools and read engineering drawings
Good report writing and documentation skills
Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and inspection procedures
Effective communication and teamwork skills
