Quality Inspector - IQC

Job Purpose:

To ensure the quality of incoming materials and components through precise inspection and testing, supporting the New Product Development (NPD) process and maintaining compliance with internal and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform

  visual and dimensional inspection

  of

  rubber, plastic, and metal parts

  .
• Operate and interpret results from:

• Roughness Tester

• Microscope

• Contour Machine

• CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)

• Use precision measuring instruments such as:

• Vernier Caliper

• Micrometer

• Height Gauge

• Slip Gauge

• Radius Gauge

• Other standard gauges and tools for dimensional verification.
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records as per ISO and internal standards.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues.
• Support

  NPD activities

  by inspecting prototype and pilot batch components.
• Ensure compliance with drawing specifications, material standards, and customer requirements.
• Escalate non-conformities and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Rubber, Plastic, and Metal Parts Inspection -

  understanding of material-specific defects and tolerances.

• Hands-on experience

  with:
• Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Slip Gauge, Radius Gauge
• Roughness Tester, Microscope, Contour Machine, CMM

• NPD Process Knowledge -

  ability to support new product evaluations and trials.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and quality systems.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a Mass Production environment.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and quality documentation.
