2. Job Purpose

To lead quality initiatives and ensure implementation of process standards across warehouse and logistics operations. Responsible for compliance with audit norms, process improvement, and supporting organizational goals through strong quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives.

3. Key Accountabilities

Main areas of focus and accountability of the role – detail in order of importance the main areas of accountability of the role:

  • Implement and enforce company policies, SOPs, and quality procedures across the site.
  • Lead and monitor 5S, QMS, ISO, EMS, EnMS, OHSMS, and VDA 6.3 compliance across departments.
  • Develop and maintain master documents including SOPs, WIs, and audit reports.
  • Identify process gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, Lean).
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet internal KPIs and customer quality standards.
  • Conduct internal audits and prepare audit schedules in coordination with the management team.
  • Drive CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes and maintain related documentation.
  • Guide teams in the use of quality tools (e.g., 7 QC Tools) for root cause analysis and problem-solving.
  • Act as a liaison between customer quality teams and internal departments for quality-related issues.
  • Prepare and present reports on quality KPIs, audit findings, and process improvement outcomes.
  • Ensure documentation compliance and support all customer or third-party audits.
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Lead quality team efforts, coach and train employees on quality processes and standards.
  • Facilitate the resolution of non-conformities and initiate process revisions when required.
  • Monitor team performance and provide support in meeting quality and safety goals.
  • Conduct regular 5S and safety audits; follow through with corrective action plans.

  • Operations and Logistics Team – Ensure process compliance
  • SAP, GRN, and Warehouse Teams – Quality integration and feedback
  • HR and Safety Teams – For audits, training, and compliance

External

  • SAVW / Customer Quality Team – Coordination for audits and improvement plans
  • Vendors / Contractors – Quality issue resolution and guidance on compliance

Any Graduate

B.E/B.Tech or MBA/Postgraduate in Materials or Quality Management

Experience

Minimum 5 years in quality function in an automotive/logistics industry

0–3 years with relevant QMS or quality tool certifications

Specialist Knowledge & Skills

Quality standards (QMS, ISO, 5S, VDA 6.3, OHSMS), audit handling, CAPA, Kaizen

Hands-on with QC tools, internal auditing, process design

Interpersonal & Communication Skills

Strong reporting, coordination, team leadership

Stakeholder management and change leadership
