Job Summary: We are looking for a proactive and experienced Production Manager to lead the daily operations of the extrusion unit. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in rubber extrusion processes, manpower handling, machine planning, and production efficiency. You will be responsible for ensuring consistent quality, productivity, and safety while meeting delivery targets. Key Responsibilities: Production Operations: Manage and oversee day-to-day operations of the rubber extrusion lines. Plan and monitor production schedules, raw material usage, and shift-wise output. Identify areas for process improvement and lead efforts to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency. Collaborate with the quality department to address quality issues and reduce rejections. Identify and drive process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Resource & Team Management: Supervise and guide the production team, including supervisors, technicians, and operators. Ensure appropriate staffing levels and training for smooth operations. Monitor team performance and enforce discipline, safety, and operational protocols. Lead and train shop-floor staff, operators, and supervisors for efficient output. Coordinate with QA/QC, R&D, and logistics for smooth production flow. Maintenance & Coordination: Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed. Liaise with planning, procurement, stores, and logistics departments to ensure smooth workflow. Reporting & Compliance: Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production reports, including KPIs such as efficiency, downtime,yield, and wastage. Maintain production documentation and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards. Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies on the shop floor. Ensure compliance with safety standards, 5S, and workplace discipline Qualifications & Skills Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Rubber Technology / Polymer Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 8 to10 years of experience in rubber extrusion manufacturing, with at least 2 to 3 years in a managerial role. Sound knowledge of rubber materials (EPDM, silicone, NBR, TPV) and extrusion processes. Familiarity with extrusion machines, cold feed/hot feed extruders, and curing systems (microwave, hot air, steam). Strong leadership, problem-solving, and shift/team management skills. Working knowledge of ISO/TS16949, 5S, and lean manufacturing practices. Preffered Qualifications: Experience in automotive, construction, or industrial rubber profile production.
