2. Key Responsibilities

A. Quality Management System (QMS)

• Implement and maintain ISO 9001:2015 compliant QMS across the organisation.
• Prepare and revise SOPs, Work Instructions, and Quality Assurance Plans (QAP).
• Conduct internal audits and facilitate external ISO and customer audits.

B. Incoming Quality Control (IQC)

• Inspect raw materials and bought-out components such as switchgear, panel enclosure, capacitors, reactors, breakers, relays, CT/PT, resin, insulation materials.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and conduct vendor audits.
• Ensure calibration of all inspection and measuring instruments.

C. In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)

• Monitor fabrication, busbar work, wiring, capacitor winding, reactor winding, resin casting, drying, assembly, and panel integration processes.
• Verify compliance to drawings, BOM, technical specs, and process sheets.
• Approve in-process checkpoints: torque test, IR test, HV test, capacitance & tan-delta test, winding resistance, routine panel tests.

D. Final Quality Control (FQC)

• Conduct final inspection and testing of:
• LV & MV Panels (IEC 61439)
• Capacitor Banks / APFC Panels / Harmonic Filters
• LV/MV Capacitors (IEC 60831 / 60931)
• Series / Shunt Reactors (IEC 60076 / 60076-6)
• AHF / STATCOM
• Ensure test reports, inspection reports, and quality documents are accurately prepared.
• Lead customer FATs and maintain customer satisfaction.

E. Customer Quality & Complaint Resolution

• Attend FAT/SAT at customer sites.
• Analyse failures, conduct RCA, and prepare CAPA reports.
• Track and close customer complaints within defined timelines.

F. Coordination with Design, Production & Purchase

• Collaborate with design team for drawing verification and design improvements.
• Support production in resolving quality deviations and process issues.
• Participate in supplier development and material quality improvements.

G. Continual Improvement Initiatives

• Drive 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and Lean quality practices.
• Reduce in-process rejection cost and improve first pass yield (FPY).
• Implement corrective and preventive actions effectively.

3. Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of IEC/IS standards for LV/MV panels, capacitors, and reactors.
• Proficient in routine electrical tests: HV, IR, WR, capacitance, tan-delta, burden tests.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes: sheet metal, welding, busbar fabrication, winding, resin casting.
• Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with ERP and MS Office.
