Application Engineers represent the technical face of the company to its customers and will play vital role in translating customer expectations into sound and successful technical proposal on the behalf of ORBIT Key responsibilities include: Be responsible to manage excellent technical relations with the companys customers – especially with R&D and Quality Management functions. Collect, document, and interpret application requirements of the customers for new projects and align the same with the internal functions at Orbit to build comprehensive and qualitative design input. Work on modelling of rolling bearings and drive systems, carry out detailed calculations including – but not limited to load and stress distribution, and running dynamic simulations using advanced software like Romax. Interpret, verify results from the software, assess performance outcomes of various design alternatives and present optimum solution with the goal of creating real value for the customers. Together with R&D team, develop new and innovative designs for new customer projects or make a proposal to redesign an existing solution for enhanced performance. Present design solutions to customers concisely with clarity on the application concept, design criteria , product features and performance estimation. Maintain close contacts with customers to identify and pursue opportunities. Coordinate with internal functions and sales teams to convert opportunities in business acquisition. Role & responsibilities :- CNC & VMC Maintenance Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC and VMC machines, including systems using Fanuc and Siemens controls. Troubleshoot and repair both electrical and mechanical issues to minimize machine downtime. Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure optimal machine performance. PLC Programming & Troubleshooting Develop, modify, and debug PLC programs on platforms such as Delta, Siemens, and Fanuc. Integrate PLC systems with machine controls to ensure smooth, seamless operation. Quickly diagnose and resolve PLC-related issues to maintain production efficiency. System Integration & Upgrades Collaborate with engineering teams to plan and implement system upgrades and enhancements. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new CNC and VMC machines. Ensure compatibility between new systems and the existing infrastructure. Documentation & Reporting Keep accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and upgrades performed.
