Quality Engineer Trainee

Qualification:

• Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• Basic understanding of quality processes, mechanical drawings, and sheet metal components

Experience:

• Fresher (01 year)
• Experienced (1–2 years) in sheet metal industry preferred

Job Responsibilities:

For Fresher / Trainee:

• Assist in daily quality inspection of sheet metal components
• Support senior engineers in conducting in-process and final inspection
• Learn and follow quality standards, SOPs, and inspection checklists
• Maintain inspection reports and documentation
• Support in handling measurement instruments like Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.
• Coordinate with production team for quality-related issues
• Report defects, rework, and deviations to Quality Engineer/Supervisor

For Experienced (1–2 Years):

• Perform independent in-process and final inspections of sheet metal parts
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and assist in implementing corrective actions
• Maintain and analyze quality data (rejection, rework, inspection logs)
• Handle customer complaints and prepare internal quality reports
• Knowledge of 7 QC tools, PPAP, Control Plan (added advantage)
• Ensure compliance with ISO/TS standards (if applicable)
• Guide trainees and help improve overall quality processes

Skills Required:

• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
• Understanding of basic engineering drawings
• Familiarity with measuring instruments
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, documentation)

Salary:

• Freshers: ₹10,000 – ₹15,000 (as per interview & skills)
• Experienced (1–2 years): ₹15,000 – ₹20,000 (as per interview & expertise)
