Position: Quality Engineer – Structural Fabrication
Location: Bachau, Gandhidham (Gujarat)
Requirements
Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 4–8 years’ experience in quality inspection for heavy steel fabrication, bridges, or structural projects
Mandatory: NDT Level II certification in UT, RT, MT, PT
Expertise in material inspection, in-process checks, final inspection, and painting/coating inspection
Strong knowledge of fabrication codes and standards: IS 2062:2011, IS 9595, BS 110, AWS D1.1, etc.
Welding knowledge including WPS, PQR, welder qualification, distortion control, and weld size/quality verification
Proficient in dimensional inspection, tolerance checks, and alignment verification for large girders
Skilled in documentation and reporting (QAP, ITP, WPS/PQR records, client reports)
Experience in handling third-party and client inspections independently
Computer skills: MS Office and AutoCAD for drawing interpretation
Strong communication and coordination skills to interact with consultants, clients, and site teams
