Quality Engineer – Structural Fabrication

Position: Quality Engineer – Structural Fabrication
Location: Bachau, Gandhidham (Gujarat)

Requirements

• Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 4–8 years’ experience in quality inspection for heavy steel fabrication, bridges, or structural projects
• Mandatory: NDT Level II certification in UT, RT, MT, PT
• Expertise in material inspection, in-process checks, final inspection, and painting/coating inspection
• Strong knowledge of fabrication codes and standards: IS 2062:2011, IS 9595, BS 110, AWS D1.1, etc.
• Welding knowledge including WPS, PQR, welder qualification, distortion control, and weld size/quality verification
• Proficient in dimensional inspection, tolerance checks, and alignment verification for large girders
• Skilled in documentation and reporting (QAP, ITP, WPS/PQR records, client reports)
• Experience in handling third-party and client inspections independently
• Computer skills: MS Office and AutoCAD for drawing interpretation
• Strong communication and coordination skills to interact with consultants, clients, and site teams

Industry Preference

Candidates with experience in bridge fabrication units, structural steel companies, or EPC contractors with heavy fabrication exposure.
