Quality Engineer Lead

As a Quality Engineer Lead, your role involves leading and driving test automation and software quality assurance for various components. You will also assist with manual testing for components that cannot be easily automated and collaborate with software developers to propose suitable QA plans. Additionally, you will be responsible for adding testing infrastructure support for unit testing/isolation, limited logging, and selective testing. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and drive test automation and software QA - Assist with manual testing for components not easily automated - Work with software developers to propose QA plans - Add testing infrastructure support for unit testing, limited logging, and selective testing - Participate in cross-functional project teams - Adhere to software development and source control processes Qualifications Required: - Total 8+ years of experience in the IT industry - 8+ years of experience in Automation Testing and QA - 2+ years of experience as a QA hands-on Lead or QA hands-on Architect - Strong coding experience in Java, Selenium, and TestNG/JUnit - Experience in preparation and execution of Test Scripts for Functional and Non-Functional Testing - API automation experience using tools like Rest Assured, Postman, or SoapUI - Experience in developing Automation Frameworks from scratch - Familiarity with BDD using Cucumber, TDD, and tools like Atlassian suite, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub, and CI tools like Jenkins/Bamboo - Work experience in Agile SCRUM teams delivering high-quality software - Ability to write SQL database queries - Experience in Agile Software Development with exceptional defect analysis and triaging skills - Strong communication skills Nice to have: - Experience in SQL Joins and DB Testing - Knowledge or experience with mocking or virtualization tool sets - Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, K6 - Familiarity with tools like TOSCA, Q-test, Azure Test Plans Please note that the job type is Full-time and the work location is in-person at Kolkata, Indore, or Shillong.
