Quality Engineer Lead

As a Quality Engineer Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of software components through test automation and software quality assurance. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading and driving test automation and software QA efforts for various components. - Assisting with manual testing for components that are not easily automated. - Collaborating with software developers to understand the software and devise a suitable QA plan. - Adding support for testing infrastructure such as unit test/isolation, limited logging, and selective testing. - Participating in cross-functional project teams alongside scientists, software quality professionals, technical support, and other engineers. - Adhering to software development and source control processes. To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications: - Total of 8+ years of experience in the IT industry. - 8+ years of experience in Automation Testing and QA. - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a hands-on QA Lead or QA Architect. - Strong coding skills in Java, Selenium, and TestNG/JUnit with expertise in preparing and executing Test Scripts for Functional and Non-Functional Testing. - Experience in API automation using tools like Rest Assured, Postman, or SoapUI. - Proficiency in developing Automation Frameworks from scratch. - Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and tools like Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), GitHub, Jenkins, and Bamboo. - Ability to work effectively in an Agile SCRUM team environment, collaborating with product owners to understand requirements and resolve issues. - Documenting software issues and enhancement requests, and assisting in the development of comprehensive steps for defect replication. - Converting manual regression scenarios into automated test cases. - Ensuring reliable integration and execution of automated tests in CI/CD environments. - Proficiency in writing SQL database queries. - Experience in Agile Software Development (Scrum and Kanban) with exceptional defect analysis and triaging skills. - Strong communication skills. It would be considered a plus if you have experience in: - SQL Joins and Database Testing. - Knowledge or experience with mocking or virtualization tool sets. - Usage of performance testing tools like JMeter, K6, etc. - Familiarity with tools like TOSCA, Q-test, or Azure Test Plans.
