Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Result Areas:

Oversee daily operations of the conductor testing lab, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
Ensure all tests (mechanical, electrical, thermal, environmental) are conducted per relevant standards and client specifications.
Lead internal audits, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, NABL guidelines and other regulatory frameworks.
Coordinate with R&D, production, and quality teams to support product development and troubleshooting.
Prepare budgets, manage procurement of lab consumables and equipment, and ensure cost-effective operations.
Timely ILC, PT, AMC & calibration of the equipment. Adhering to SOPs during testing & report preparation.
Train, mentor, upscale and evaluate laboratory staff.
Coordinate with sales, marketing, procurement, production, and quality teams for product design, hardware accessories, customer interaction/satisfaction, and feasibility analysis.

Key Competencies :

To ensure that the lab management system is implemented and followed at all times
To control the lab management system documentation and its changes.
To monitor and control management reviews and post management review activities.
To plan, organize, record and analyze internal audits.
To report the internal/external audits to the Laboratory Head.
To follow up on the timely closing of findings of the internal /external audits.
To monitor corrective & preventive actions
To emphasize the need to maintain confidentiality.
To monitor and control training activities.
To maintain records pertaining to the document control, internal audits, management review & NABL Correspondence.
Familiarity in working with MS Office, data interpretation tools, and regression analysis.
