Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Control

Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, procedures, and documentation.
Conduct in-process and final product inspections as per quality guidelines.
Review engineering specifications, drawings, and change orders for quality impact.
Monitor quality performance indicators (defects, scrap, rework, yield).

Root Cause Analysis & CAPA

Lead root-cause analysis using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, and 8D.
Prepare and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Verify effectiveness of CAPA and track closure.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
Participate in or lead process capability studies and quality improvement projects.
Support automation and process-optimization initiatives.

Supplier Quality

Conduct supplier audits and evaluate supplier quality performance.
Collaborate with vendors on nonconformities, material issues, and improvement plans.

Compliance & Audits

Ensure compliance with relevant standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, industry-specific).
Support internal audits and customer audits.
Maintain quality documentation and ensure traceability.

Customer Quality Support

Investigate customer complaints and quality issues.
Prepare reports (PPAP, FAIR, 8D reports) as required by customers.
Communicate quality metrics and findings to internal and external stakeholders.
