Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Interacting with customer to address the Quality concerns and ensures corrective and preventive actions are taken internally.
• Perform, manage and report final product inspection findings to achieve zero PPM.
• Shift lead for resolving quality issues & authority to stop production to correct quality problems.
• Responsible for coordinating with Customer, Application engineering, manufacturing and STA Engineering for quality issues, warranty and field issues, and for the launch of new models.
• Conduct PPAP/PSW for all new product launches and engineering changes from customer.
• Organizing External Customer Satisfaction Surveys and taking appropriate corrective action.
• Co-ordinate the implementation of IATF 16949 system and customer specified standards.
• Ensure that all quality procedures are in compliance with YFAI quality policy.
• handling Quality Management Tools & Customer requirements with key focus on Management requirement by ensuring robust deployment of system with sound knowledge in Automotive/ Auto Ancillary industries.
• Creating Quality System Manual, procedures & formats addressing requirements of all applicable standards and handling supplier quality, customer quality and in process quality
• Periodic review of customer specific requirement & up-gradation of quality system and communication to team for impact of changes.
• Periodic conduct of Internal Audits to assess the status of deployment of systems and take corrective measures for achieving organizational objectives.
• Implementing inspection for incoming material and preparing Supplier Rating & A.O.I. (Agreement of Inspection) with supplier of various components.
• Periodic evaluation of supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery and service and seeking corrective measures in improving the quality of Incoming materials.
• Review the supplier PPAP and plug the gap areas
• Implementing PPAP Document, SPC technique, MSA, 7QC Tools & 5S techniques for cycle time reduction, entailing identification of opportunities, analysis of data, and conduction of tests, cost benefit analysis, implementation and post audits.
• Organize and conduct Internal Quality audits / product / process audits and close the non-compliances raised during the audits.
• Monitor quality performance indicators.
• Design, plan and procure required gauges.
• Participate in PFMEA preparation and control plans.
• Responsible for SPC implementation, interpretation and control limits, to evaluate performance.
• Identify and implement process improvement actions.
• Conduct training programs on Quality internally.
• EHS Certification: Implementation & Compliance to Safety & Loss Control Policy.

• Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and customer specifications.
• Conduct inspections at First Article, in-process, in-coming and completes the final inspections.
• Document and report inspection findings and results and monitors corrective actions to inspection findings.
• Read and interpret specifications and part prints.
• Perform product identification and traceability activities, as required.
• Conduct various tests and quality checks on finished products
• Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
• Responsible for supporting on IATF 19649, ISO 14000/OSHAS 18001
• In case of abnormalities authorized to stop production
