Quality Control Engineer

Job Purpose:

To ensure quality assurance and control at all stages of PEB manufacturing and erection, by monitoring processes, inspecting materials, and maintaining compliance with company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and verify raw materials, fabricated components, welding, painting, and finished products for compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections during fabrication and assembly.
• Ensure weld quality as per WPS (Welding Procedure Specification) and codes (AWS/DIN/IS).
• Monitor and document NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) activities like UT, RT, DPT, MPI.
• Maintain calibration records of instruments, gauges, and testing equipment.
• Review and verify quality documents like Mill Test Certificates, Inspection Reports, and Quality Records.
• Ensure adherence to ISO/QMS standards and company procedures.
• Coordinate with production and erection teams to resolve quality issues.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality-related problems.
• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly QC reports.
• Support customer/third-party inspections and audits.
• Ensure safety and quality compliance during site erection.
  

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of

  PEB fabrication and erection processes

  .
• Sound understanding of

  welding procedures, painting, bolting, and machining inspections

  .
• Familiarity with

  IS codes, AISC, AWS, ISO standards

  .
• Proficiency in reading fabrication drawings and erection drawings.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to identify defects and implement corrective measures.
• Team coordination and problem-solving skills.
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in

  Quality Control within PEB / Steel Structures industry

  .
• Certified in

  Welding Inspection (AWS / CSWIP / NDT Level II)

  preferred.
