Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Engineer to join our team in ensuring the highest levels of product quality and regulatory compliance. The role involves inspecting moulded parts, performing physical and dimensional tests, analyzing defects, and implementing robust QA/QC procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of relevant standards such as ASTM, API, and ASME, along with hands-on experience using precision measuring instruments like verniers, micrometers, and other testing tools. Experience with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods is essential. Responsibilities also include validating processes, conducting root cause analysis, maintaining quality documentation (including MTCs and dimensional reports), training team members, and driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with ISO and industry-specific standards (ASTM, API, ASME) Inspect and verify moulded parts and components using precision instruments Perform physical and dimensional tests; identify and analyze product defects Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures and maintain related documentation Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective/preventive actions Train production and QA staff on quality standards and best practices Prepare reports such as MTCs and dimensional inspection records Drive quality improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and similar methodologies Key Skills & Requirements: Proficiency in using testing and measuring tools (verniers, micrometers, gauges) Solid understanding of injection moulding processes and materials Hands-on experience with NDT methods (Level II certification preferred) Strong knowledge of ASTM, API, ASME standards Familiarity with QA/QC processes and documentation Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Attention to detail and a strong commitment to product quality Education: Bachelors or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Quality Assurance, or a related field Certifications (Preferred): NDT Level II, ASME, or API certifications Experience: 3 to 5 years in Quality Control, particularly in pipe fittings, flanges, injection molded parts, or similar components Job Location: Survey No. 193, Hissa No. 13, Mira Bhayandar Road, Hari Bhakti Compound, Mira Road (East), Thane - 401 107, India How to Apply: Send your resume to: hr@ssahilmoulds.com
