Quality Assurance Executive

As a Quality Assurance Tester (iOS & Android), your primary role involves ensuring the quality and performance of mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms. This includes developing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to enhance the quality of mobile applications. Key Responsibilities: - Develop detailed test plans and test cases for mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms based on requirements and specifications. - Execute manual and automated tests on iOS and Android devices to validate functionality, performance, and usability of mobile applications. - Identify, log, and track defects using defect tracking tools, collaborate with development teams to reproduce issues, provide detailed defect reports, and verify defect resolutions. - Perform testing across various device models, screen sizes, and operating system versions to ensure compatibility and consistent user experience. - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications using tools like Appium, XCTest, or Espresso. - Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand application requirements, and provide feedback on quality and usability. - Maintain comprehensive documentation of test results, procedures, and issues, prepare test summary reports, and contribute to quality metrics. - Participate in the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies, staying updated with mobile testing trends, tools, and best practices. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications such as ISTQB or Appium are advantageous. - Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in mobile application testing, with proficiency in both iOS and Android platforms. Skills: - Strong understanding of mobile application testing principles and methodologies for iOS and Android. - Proficiency in manual and automated testing of mobile applications. - Experience with mobile test automation tools like Appium, XCTest, or Espresso. - Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Swift, or Kotlin is beneficial. - Knowledge of mobile testing challenges including device fragmentation, network conditions, and battery usage. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Strong organizational and time-management abilities. - Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment. Additionally, the company offers a full-time, permanent position with benefits including leave encashment. The work location is in Mohali Phase 8, with a Monday to Friday shift from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm.
