Job Description

Quality Assurance Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and analyze business requirements, ensuring alignment with quality standards.
Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
Execute manual and automated testing processes to ensure product quality, functionality, reliability, and performance meet specified requirements.
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved to ensure new modifications do not affect existing functionalities.
Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, effectively managing defect life cycle from discovery to resolution.
Work within an agile framework to deliver regular updates and improvements to the software.
Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process.
Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing to ensure new systems and applications are integrated successfully.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience in software quality assurance and in-depth knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Strong experience with test planning and execution in both manual and automated contexts.
Excellent understanding of the software development life cycle, especially in agile environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to provide comprehensive defect reports.
Ability to work independently in a remote setup, demonstrating strong self-management skills.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and maintain test case documentation, ensuring alignment with feature requirements and product specifications.
Execute functional, usability, and performance tests on the web and mobile applications to spot issues and track bugs.
Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like test data, data validation, and scripts.
Regularly interact with development team members to communicate test results, suggest optimizations, and ensure quality output.
Monitor and manage defects, and utilize tools to ensure efficient management and communication of defect life cycles.
Advocate for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance product testing procedures.
