Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Design, document, and maintain test cases and scenarios for web applications, APIs, AI pipelines, and embedded components.
Execute manual and automated testing of microservices, model inference outputs, REST APIs, and browser-based interfaces.
Prepare and maintain test data, conduct boundary, edge case, and error condition testing.
Identify, document, and report bugs and anomalies.
Verify model outputs for accuracy, expected ranges, and system interactions.
Conduct integration testing across modules (e.g. frontend-to-backend, API-to-model, client-to-edge).
Collaborate with developers and AI engineers to reproduce, isolate, and troubleshoot issues.
Review and contribute to technical documentation, including release notes and user testing guides.
MUST:
Ability to work hours in
Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT)/Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)

Technical Experience Required

3–4 years in a technical testing or QA engineering role, preferably in software product environments.
Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and test life cycle (STLC).
Experience writing and executing test cases for REST APIs, web frontends, and backend services.
Hands-on experience with tools such as Postman, Pytest, Selenium, Playwright, or similar.
Proficient in log analysis, JSON inspection, and backend validation.
Familiarity with Docker, Linux commands, Git, and CI/CD pipelines for test deployments.
Basic scripting ability in Python or Shell to create reusable test utilities and validations.
Understanding of AI testing concepts (e.g. input/output validation, prompt testing, inference checking) is desirable.
