QS Manager

As a Quantity Surveyor in a construction company, your role is crucial in managing all costs and contractual matters throughout the construction project. Your responsibilities can be divided into different phases: **Pre-Construction Phase:** - **Cost Estimation and Budgeting:** Analyze drawings and specifications, conduct quantity take-off, apply market rates, and develop a project budget. - **Feasibility Studies & Value Engineering:** Conduct financial feasibility studies and identify cost-saving alternatives. - **Tendering and Bid Management:** Prepare Bill of Quantities, tender documents, evaluate bids, and assist in contract drafting and negotiation. **Construction Phase:** - **Cost Control and Monitoring:** Track project expenditures, identify cost overruns, and report variances. - **Change Order Management:** Identify, document, and negotiate variations to the original contract. - **Procurement Management:** Work with Procurement department to ensure best prices for materials and equipment. - **Sub-contractor Management:** Create work orders, approve invoices, and assess claims. **Post-Construction Phase:** - **Claims and Dispute Management:** Assist in resolving contractual disputes or claims with clients or sub-contractors. - **Lessons Learned:** Conduct a final analysis of project costs to identify lessons learned for future projects. **Skills and Qualities Required:** - Technical Knowledge in civil engineering and construction methods. - Numerical and Analytical Skills for data analysis and financial models. - Legal and Contractual Acumen understanding Indian contract law and construction contracts. - Communication and Negotiation Skills for effective client, contractor, and supplier interactions. - Attention to Detail to avoid errors in quantities or pricing. **Education:** - Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, management, or similar. **Minimum Experience:** - 5 to 10 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost management. **Contact:** - 9438385000 **Job Type:** - Full-time **Benefits:** - Provident Fund **Work Location:** - In person,
