QE Automation Engineer

What Youll Do:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for Web, UI, and API layers.


• Build and maintain robust automation frameworks to support regression, functional, integration, and performance testing.


• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure test coverage and quality throughout the SDLC.


• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups as part of Agile delivery.


• Perform API testing (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) and validate integration across systems.


• Ensure proper test data management and environment setup for automation execution.


• Identify, document, and track defects; work with development teams to resolve issues.


• Generate test reports, dashboards, and metrics to track quality trends and release readiness.


• Continuously evaluate and recommend tools, libraries, and best practices to improve automation efficiency.

• 6+ years of experience in test automation for Web, UI, and APIs.


• Strong hands-on expertise in automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit).


• Proven experience in API automation using tools/frameworks like Postman, RestAssured, Karate, or similar.


• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.


• Experience with CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar).


• Working knowledge of cloud-based testing environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).


• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, qTest, Zephyr, etc.).


• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.


• Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in Agile/Scrum teams.

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Applications, or related field.
