QA/QC Manager

Job Description (Roles & Responsibilities):

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards and SOPs for semi-precious and precious gemstones
• Ensure quality control at all stages of manufacturing including Taiyari, Cutting, Polishing, Assorting, and Ready Goods
• Inspect gemstones for cut, color, clarity, shape, finish, PCS, and CTS as per defined standards
• Supervise and guide QC and Assorting teams to maintain consistency and accuracy
• Use eye-glass assorting and loupe handling techniques for detailed quality inspection
• Identify quality defects, rejections, and root causes; take corrective and preventive actions
• Coordinate with Production, PPC, NPD, and Stock departments to resolve quality-related issues
• Monitor rejection rates, rework, and yield loss; work on continuous quality improvement
• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly QC reports for management
• Ensure proper documentation for quality checks, audits, and customer requirements
• Support internal and external quality audits and ensure compliance
• Train team members on quality standards, grading, and inspection techniques

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of semi-precious and precious gemstones
• Expertise in eye-glass assorting and loupe handling
• In-depth understanding of gemstone grading parameters
• Knowledge of PCS/CTS control and inventory accuracy
• Good analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications & Experience:

• 5–10 years of experience in QA/QC within gemstone manufacturing
• Prior experience in handling QC teams is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
